Roadway Alignment Study

SR 7 Extension
(Okeechobee Blvd. to 60th Street N.)

Roadway alignment study of approximately 4.7 miles of new 4-lane divided urban roadway through highly sensitive wetland preserved area. Developed Community Awareness Plan and held Public Information Meetings with numerous agencies and local residents. After the alignment study, we designed and constructed initial 2-lane of roadway, and permitted through various environmental agencies.
Jog Road
(Roebuck Road to 45th Street)
Palm Beach County

Roadway alignment study of approximately 2.2 miles of new 4-lane divided urban roadway through highly sensitive wetland preserved area. The alignment crosses a drinking water (class 1) canal with a single span bridge. Public Information meetings were held with numerous agencies. After the alignment study, the project was divided into two segments. One segment crosses over a 25 foot deep borrowed lake, and the other segment was entirely within environmentally sensitive wetland preserve area. Stone columns were installed to fill in the borrowed lake as the embankment height exceeded 40 feet. The first segment is currently under construction, and the second segment is currently under environmental permitting.

Designed and constructed 4-lane divided roadway from an existing 2-lane undivided roadway of approximately 2 mile in length. Horizontal curves and reverse curves were designed with appropriate superelevation rate for roadway cross slope.
Clint Moore Road
(Military Trail to Congress Avenue)

Designed and constructed 6-lane divided roadway from an existing 4-lane divided roadway of approximately 1.5 mile in length.

Resurfacing, Restoration, Rehabilitation (R.R.R.)

SR 10A Mobile Highway
(Nine Mile Road SR 10 to SR 297)
Escambia County (FDOT)

This was a metric unit project. Milled and resurfaced two-lane undivided roadway of approximately 12.3 km in length. Existing pavement cross slopes, safety clear zone, guardrail, signing and pavement markings, drainage, traffic signals, and handicapped ramps at intersections were checked for compliancy against the latest design standards. Design variances had to be applied for in areas where inadequacies were unavoidable.
SR 291 Alcaniz Street
(E. 36th Street to Manresa Street)
Escambia County (FDOT)

This was a metric unit project. Milled and resurfaced two-lane one-way urban roadway of approximately 4 km in length within the City of Pensacola. Existing pavement cross slopes, safety clear zone, guardrail, signing and pavement markings, drainage, traffic signals, and handicapped ramps at intersections were checked for compliancy against the latest design standards. Design variances had to be applied for in areas where inadequacies were unavoidable. Since existing roadway crosses railroad tracts that also needed improvement, road had to be shut down for a short period of time. Detour Traffic Control Plan was developed.
Woolbright Road Over I-95
Palm Beach County

Milled and resurfaced existing 6-lane divided roadway including two bridges over I-95 and CRX Railroad tracts. Increased left turn lane storage capacity to accommodate and improve left turn traffic movements. Lane closure analysis was also performed for the work over I-95.

Intersection Improvements

I-95 Southbound Exit Ramp Improvement at Glades Road
Palm Beach County

Increased I-95 southbound exit ramp stacking capacity to improve traffic flow through the intersection. Milled, resurfaced, and re-striped existing pavement for safety. Clear zone compliancy was checked against latest design standards.
Summit Blvd at Congress Avenue
Palm Beach County

Added dual left turn lanes to increase stacking capacity and provide better traffic movement through the intersection. Milled, resurfaced, and re-striped existing pavement for safety.
Palmetto Park Road at N.W. 12th Avenue

Floodplain Analysis

Pond Cypress Natural Area
Palm Beach County

Installed an emergency control structure to serve 2,449 acres of land to relief flooding in residential neighborhood caused by Hurricane Irene in 1999.
Lake Worth Commercial Corridor Flood Analysis

Performed floodplain analysis for 220 acres of commercial area fronting Lake Worth Road. Identified deficient areas and provided recommendations.
